UX/UI Designer

The Role

We are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer with proven expertise in the creation of compelling user-interfaces that result in a best-in-class user experience. You will design experiences that help governments, brands, and NGOs extract more value from our product. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is motivated and passionate about their work. This position requires someone who is ready and willing to work with autonomy and lead the product design efforts for a growing startup. This position is remote.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create responsive designs for the B2B partner experience, which will productize the more consultative work Limbik has done with governments, brands, and NGOs. 

  • Design innovative layouts for dashboards and apply professional design principles to the creation of BI reports and presentation visualizations (including minimizing visualization bias, incorporating accessibility into designs, and optimizing user experience through effective design).

  • Develop a deep understanding of the data our business generates and define the best visualizations for our business metrics to deliver insights.

  • Collaborate on long term and short term product roadmaps, and metrics to track product adoption and usage, in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success.

  • Design compelling data visualizations that utilize reusable UI/UX components. 

  • Develop sitemaps, user flows, interaction design, wireframes, prototypes, functional specs, etc.

  • Experience with conducting user research studies, synthesis of feedback, and design of inspiring solutions based on customer insights.

  • Create necessary documentation and guidelines. 

  • Vet off-the-shelf versus custom-built BI solutions.

About You

  • 5+ years of industry experience (preferred), with at least more than a year independently developing UI.

  • Experience with the development of self-service reporting/analytics tools. 

  • Ability to multitask and make difficult prioritization decisions based on value to the business.

  • Analytical.

  • Enjoys collaborating and communicating across diverse teams.

  • Communicate and build consensus around all aspects of the design direction.

  • Experience in obtaining and synthesizing customer feedback, assessing needs, and integrating into a cohesive design.

  • Design experience in Adobe Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/XD/After Effects/InDesign), Sketch, or similar applications.

  • Extensive experience with collaborative design tools such as Invision, Zeplin, or similar applications.

  • Proficiency in prototyping, wireframing, UX and interaction design, usability testing / research and information architecture.

  • High motivation and ethical standards.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent. May be offset by substantial relevant experience.

 

Preferred

  • Prior experience designing UX in the cybersecurity space.

  • Experience using Tableau, Power BI, or other similar data visualization tools. 

  • Familiarity with React/Redux or other coding frameworks, front-end code using HTML/CSS/JS.

  • Desire to work under tight deadlines and successfully manage multiple work streams.
