Limbik is the leading information defense system for individuals, brands and governments who need to proactively or reactively attenuate the impact of Mis-Dis-Mal-Information. Unlike other technologies and consultative services that are purely reactionary, we utilize proprietary predictive analytics to mitigate the scale and speed of today's information threats. 

We provide a response-driven solution that mounts a viable defense against information manipulation for brands, agencies, consultancies and governments. We work with top Fortune 500 retailers. The Role

We are looking for an experienced data scientist to join our Content Science team. You will be empowered to develop and apply quantitative solutions to inform an array of experts from across the technology and entertainment space. This role will be given direct ownership of key areas of focus for Limbik’s business and responsible for driving machine learning and predictive analytics efforts. 

 

You will be an archaeologist and excavate the hidden insights in Limbik’s data that give our partners and clients an edge when developing messaging and creative content. 

 

Examples of questions you will help to answer (not an exhaustive list!): 

  • Did a social media post originate from an account in China, Russia, Iran or Saudi Arabia? 

  • Is government messaging likely to resonate with specific segments of the population? 

  • Opportunity detection – helping our clients cultivate practical concepts and identify the components that might make them successful. 

  • Where the hidden demand is from specific audience segments. 

 

In short, our shared mission is to scale decision-making and opportunity detection and discovery for creative exploration. 

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Develop systems and practices that enable Limbik to leverage cutting edge data mining and machine learning techniques. 

  • Develop machine learning models and methods designed for high impact on our clients’ decision-making. 

  • Be entrepreneurial and collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to identify potential high-value applications of machine learning technology to content forecasting, decision-making and opportunity discovery. 

  • Research and build new analytical solutions. 

  • Independently deliver effective solutions to problems. 

  • Communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Own full-stack technology, from data to product and feedback loop. 

 

About You

  • BS or graduate degree in computer science applied statistics or related field with at least three years of relevant industry experience. 

  • Solid and comprehensive background in machine learning, including various learning methods. 

  • Experience implementing and operating production scale software systems that implement sophisticated machine learning or data mining algorithms. 

  • Proficiency in Python, C++ or similar object-oriented programming languages. 

  • Experience with TensorFlow and other open-source ML packages. 

  • Experience in AWS/GCP or any other cloud computing platforms, especially in machine learning tools.

  • Proficiency in SQL and/or GQL (Graph query language).

  • Proven track record of leveraging large amounts of data to solve real-world problems, particularly in the fields of NLP, computer vision and/or social media analytics. 

  • Desire and willingness to continue growing your capabilities as a data scientist. 

  • Passion for and appreciation of the creative and digital media industry is definitely a plus.
