Lead Graph Database Administrator

The Role

We are looking for a passionate, experienced graph database administrator to join our agile software team. As our Lead Graph DB Administrator, you will be responsible for designing strategies for enterprise database systems and setting standards for operations, programming, and security. Collaborating with an innovative Product and Data Science teams, you will design and construct and maintain large relational, object, and graph databases. The role of a Lead Graph DB Administrator on this team also includes the integration of new systems with existing warehouse structures, refining system performance and functionality.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions that encompass front end, application layer, and back-end databases

  • Monitor and resize DB as necessary to meet changing demands

  • Document the architecture, development, and implementation activities on the Neo4j ETL component as well as Graph Database Administration

  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies

  • Build modern and innovative solutions in AWS environments to meet client needs

  • Learn new tools and techniques to identify necessary system improvements

  • Develop and document DB schema

  • Maintain DB (admin and networking)

About You

  • Neo4J Graph database / Cypher Query Experience

  • Postgres DB / SQL Query Experience

  • Experience in handling Change Data Capture (CDC) (Graph and SQL database platforms)

  • 3+ years of experience in a DB admin role

  • 2+ years of experience in a cloud-based environment (AWS) or AWS Certification(s) and examples of work using these services

  • Proficiency with database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server

  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle

  • Java (preferred)

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional (preferred)

  • Management consulting experience (preferred)
